The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia visited CORA Services to present their faculty and staff with a Community Impact Award. The $500 Award will support CORA's Early Years program for Pre-K children. CORA's Community Impact Award was made possible through CFGP's Primary and Secondary Education Fund.
CORA Services provides access to a multitude of programs to more than 16,000 children and families annually. Among these is the Early Years program, offering the highest standard of early education for young minds at their Fox Chase and LaSalle University locations. The program holds a Keystone STARS 4 (Standards, Training/Professional Development, Assistance, Resources, and Support) rating. The Early Years curriculum incorporates everything from hands-on learning during Dance and Movement class, to educational field trips to the Franklin Institute, Please Touch Museum, and Academy of Natural Sciences.
CORA's Early Years Program recently opened its second location at La Salle Academy, already achieving a 3 star rating in just one year. The Centers are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in order to accommodate working families and their busy schedules.
Outside of their Early Years Program, CORA Services is home to two additional large service units: School Services and Community Services. These two divisions aid young adults and their families through group therapy, addiction recovery, and Out of School Time programs to keep teens active and removed from negative surroundings in their neighborhood. CORA also offers youth academic support, intervention, and counseling to help them lead positive and productive lives.
